wedding flowers?

I’m getting married in late October and I’m trying to decide what type of flowers I want. My colors are black and hot pink and white. Can you get any type of flower from a florist in fall or does it have to be in season? I was hoping for tulips.

What kind of flowers should i buy these girls?

For Valentines Day, I’d like to buy some flowers for two girls I’m very close to (as friends). Each and every year they complain about how they never get flowers so I thought I’d do a nice thing and surprise them with flowers. What kind of flowers should I buy them and in what color? I’m aware each type of flower and it’s color have all these different meanings and I don’t want to send the wrong message, especially since I know that they know the meanings of flowers lol!

What kind of flowers are good for winter weddings?

I’m getting married on 2/20/10 and I was looking for some ideas for winter wedding flowers. My colors are light pink and espresso brown. I obviously know that roses are always in season, and they will be the staple flower in the bouquets, but I’m also looking for some supplemental flowers for the bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres. I want to stay away from red flowers (too cliche around Valentine’s Day) and I like the more traditional blooms. Also, I live in Minnesota, if that makes a difference regarding my selection. Thanks in advance!

How did flowers evolve on both trees and plants?

Both Trees and small plants evolved flowers. My question is which came first, the tree or the flower. If trees evolved first, then I would expect to see no flowers on trees at all, or flowers that are dramatically different from those in plants. If plants evolved flowers before trees, then I would expect to see all, or most, trees to have bright colorful flowers. So how is it that only a few trees have flowers, but small plants have flowers as well?
I am not asking to prove a religious point. I am honestly asking for curiosity sake.

Flowers And Their Meanings – Useful Information For Flower Givers

Imagine sending your loved one a lush bouquet of red roses with a stray striped carnation on it. You would basically be sending the person you love a confused message of deep love and a refusal to be with her at the same time. Even though all these things may seem a thing of the past, small remnants of the meaning of flowers are still present with us to this very day.

The Music Of Flowers

Well … it seems that many bands like to name themselves after flowers. Why not? After all, flowers are beautiful and they make an impact with their glorious display when in full bloom.

And like everything that is alive, vibrant and growing, they also remind us that a moment of beauty is sometimes very short-lived!
